Global Vice President of Customer Success - UK

An international, series C startup working in digital training and coaching was recruiting for a Global Vice President of Customer Success. After working with other recruiters, the position was still vacant after 15 months. My client contacted Phelps Sabio Executive Search to use a direct approach to find their ideal candidate. The process, from engagement of Phelps Sabio, to an accepted offer took 2 months.

Reporting into the COO with a dotted line into the CEO, this position had 3 direct reports (EMEA, APAC, and Americas) and an overall team of 50 people across the globe. The location was flexible and could be based anywhere in Europe.

The Global Vice President of Customer Success to needed to have the ability to advise, define, and implement an innovative strategy to expand revenue, increase product adoption, and drive business growth. The ideal candidate needed to be a proactive leader capable of having a significant impact on the business entering the next phase of development.

Excellent communications skills and the ability to effectively translate vision into action with a proven track record was essential to this position. This included defining and tracking metrics to map the customer journey, introduce best practices and tools, and take ownership of the global team.

Using a modern approach to executive recruitment and developing a deep understanding of the needs and challenges of the client resulted in an efficient, cost effective and successful placement.
