Senior Vice President of Sales- USA
Working with a global software as a service (SaaS) startup that just secured series C funding and enjoying 70% market share in EMEA and APAC, Phelps Sabio was asked to identify and attract a Senior Vice President of Sales for North America.
North America has the potential to become the leading market in the next 3-4 years. As a result, my client prioritized this region and was recruiting a SVP of Sales to aggressively win new business. This person will leverage the global success with fortune 500 clients, but refine and adapt the go to market strategy for the North American market.
Part of the Global Executive Leadership Team and reporting directly to the CEO and co-founder, this person was based in New York and had a significant amount of autonomy to develop and lead the company in the USA and Canada. Their team consisted of 5 direct reports and 40 account executives located across the country.
In addition to driving the commercial strategy in the region, building a pipeline of corporate clients, and training the account executives on modern sales techniques, this person will also be the face of the company on social media, events, and tv. As a result, the company needed this person must have a strong business acumen and capable of establishing legitimacy immediately.
